Firmware
This page provides the latest firmware versions for Cobalt products as listed. Note: If a product does not appear here, this typically means no upgrade firmware is available or pending for the product - your product model is up to date and no action is needed. Firmware releases without Release Notes indicates the release is an initial version with no release change history. If the Release Notes accompanying new firmware state the firmware provides Improvements or Additions, it is recommended to go to the product web page and download the latest Product Manual. This will help make sure you have full operating instructions for any user interface changes or additions.

Essential Bootloader Update
It has been reported that on occasion, startup/boot problems can occur with some cards and their BBG counterparts. A failure investigation has indicated that the boot sequence error can occur in certain circumstances. This firmware update is for these products with and without DSP. Fusion3G® 9900 Series Firmware
Some Fusion3G® models use either Type A or Type B firmware shown below. See Selecting the Proper Upgrade Type for Your Fusion3G® Card before selecting firmware below.

If your Control Panel is not currently licensed for Loudness Metering, it needs this license after the firmware upgrade to perform Audio Loudness Metering.)

SpotCheck® Firmware
Upgrading SpotCheck® is seamless. An upgrade retains all prior licensing, settings, logins, and configurations, as well as access to historical data/logs. Disruption during firmware upload is typically less than a few seconds.
- SpotCheck® with version 1.x.x firmware cannot be directly upgraded using the normal field upgrade procedure. In order to upgrade to versions 2.0 and greater an SLA is necessary. Contact sales@cobaltdigital.com for more information on securing an SLA. If you already have an SLA and would like to upgrade, contact support@cobaltdigital.com for details.
- Version 2 releases support and require a Cobalt Support Level Agreement (SLA) license to be uploaded to SpotCheck prior to uploading this firmware version (upload will be rejected if SLA license is not installed). See “Licensing Management and Upgrades” in SpotCheck Product Manual for license uploading. Contact support@cobaltdigital.com for any further information.

BlueBox® Updater / BlueBox® BBGConfig
BlueBox® units listed can be upgraded with the latest firmware using an Updater download, and then running the Updater with the BlueBox unit connected to the computer’s USB port. Easy instructions for using the Updater are included in the Release Notes.
BBGConfig is a free USB remote control download app that can be used with BBG-DE-AA, BBG-EM-AA, and BBG-EMDE-AES models. (Your Product Manual fully describes requirements, limitations, and installation instructions for BBGConfig.)
