The office, which represents Cobalt’s expanded reach into the growing China market, opened its doors in late December 2021.

Champaign, IL – December 17, 2021 -- Cobalt® Digital has announced plans to fill the IBC void with live-streamed demos of solutions that were to be highlighted at IBC before the in-person show was cancelled. The award-winning designer and manufacturer of edge devices for live video production and master control, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative, is live-streaming demos of its new Indigo 2110-DC-01, an integrated ST 2110 option, and of RIST Multi-Link in seamless switching mode using RIST and SMPTE ST 2022. Virtual visitors can view both demos now.

Given the recent concerns regarding widespread exploitation of a critical remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228) affecting Apache Log4j software library versions 2.0-beta9 to 2.14.1, Cobalt Digital is pleased to confirm that Log4j vulnerability does NOT affect ANY Cobalt products including the HPF-9000 frame.

Champaign, IL - October 6, 2021 - Cobalt® Digital, an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of award-winning edge devices for live video production and master control, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative, has answered the need for handling and processing multiple video feeds with its 9905-MPx multi-channel processor. The 9905-MPx is a next-generation advanced scaler/frame openGear synchronizer developed in direct response to customer needs for a single module that supports four independent signal paths. The card was highlighted during a press briefing held virtually on October 6th and hosted by Suzana Brady, Cobalt’s SVP Worldwide Sales & Marketing, who noted that the 9905-MPx was developed in response to customer requests for increased density, unprecedented multi-input support, and enhanced flexibility. The event also featured presentations by Dr. Ciro Noronha, EVP of Engineering, and Ryan Wallenberg, VP of Engineering.

Champaign, IL – August 3, 2021 – Cobalt® Digital has announced that its award-winning next generation 9904-UDX family of openGear® advanced scaler/frame synchronizers has been enhanced with numerous features and functionalities. Referred to as the Company’s Swiss Army Knife because it solves so many issues, the 9904-UDX series of Up/Down/Cross Converter/Frame Sync/Embed/De-Embed Audio Processors now accepts 3G Level B-DL signals in addition to 3G Level A (the two main formats for 3G-SDI support), a feature already adapted into the workflow at The Foundation post-production provider. The support for Level B-DL joins a host of other capabilities incorporated into the card-based, multi-function solution.
